IP Phones: CallSource Phones come pre-configured with your user and company information. They are plugged into your existing network, and utilize bandwidth from your Internet Service Provider. Each phone is a network device which must be issued a valid IP address from a router on your network (not modem) to function properly.

Routers: CallSource phones require a business-class router in order to operate at maximum voice quality. Your router must be capable of distributing IP addresses to network devices via DHCP. The quality of your router should depend on the number of connected peripherals (workstations, CallSource phones, etc..).
Firewalls: Many routers include a firewall which protects your network from malicious Internet traffic. Your firewall should allow your CallSource phones to access HTTP, HTTPS, and UDP traffic on your network. Please contact your network IT professional for help in configuring your firewall.
Switches: CallSource recommends placing a business-class switch capable of QoS (Quality of Service) between your CallSource phones and your router. A QoS switch helps ensure high-quality audio during calls, as it can place priority on voice packets from your phones. The quality of your switch should depend on the number of connected peripherals (workstations, CallSource phones, etc..).
